After an Easter break to league squash, Bridgend A returned in style with a hard fought win against Rhiwbina B. Bridgend’s balcony was packed again with Club members cheering on the players as they won some hard matches. The win takes Bridgend A back to the top of the table, with two matches left. Good luck to the boys as they continue to try secure promotion back into the premier league 2 division.

The last B team fixture before the Easter break was against our near neighbours, Cowbridge C. Comfortable wins at 4 and 5 for Chris Hampton and Mike Phillips gave us early hope but that was dashed as Phil Pook, Richard Barrett and Daf Watkins all lost 3-1. Special mention must go to Mike Phillips for tolerating very dubious behaviour when refereeing the last match of the evening. Thankfully tempers settled and we had an enjoyable session afterwards with the usual excellent food courtesy of Mike’s mum.  |
