- At 1: Chris (Socks) Chappell played Phillip Maybury (Paul Miles’s favourite opponent) and nearly clinched a win, just losing 2-3. Chris played at position 1, not his usual position, but stepped up to the mark with aplomb. Chris’s dedication as a regular player to Bridgend Squash overall is unwavering. When on form, Chris is someone to watch out for, with an unnerving backhand swiping shot, to the back and side of the court which can leave you wondering what just happened.
- At 2: Chris (Metal Detectorist) Beale fought a long and hard battle, losing out 1-3. Playing up from his normal 3 position, as always Chris is a fighter and gives it more than his all, each and every time. A highly experienced player who is regularly considered, amongst one or two others, when the B team are short on players. An asset to any team.
- At 3: James Ridd played Darren Morris and was the only player in Bridgend C, on this occasion, to win his game. This was quite a battle, as indicative of the 3-2 score. Playing up from his normal number 4 position, what more can be asked. Well played James. Hair safely tied in a bun on this occasion.
- At 4: Eliza Hales (Junior) narrowly lost 2-3, against a tough opponent in Phil Cuddihy. Playing a step up from Eliza’s normal number 5 slot, this again was a credible performance from Eliza – enough said really, very impressive.
- At 5: Stephen (You will never know If I go grey) Davies lost 3-0 against Craig Hill. Narrowly missing out a win at 15/12 in Steve’s second game, demonstrating the ability that lies ‘within’. A great effort from probably one of the keenest Bridgend Squash Member players in the history of the club.
